Terms of Use
Lights, Camera, Sold. Last updated 12 September 2026.
These are the ground rules you agree to in the app. They are written plainly
because a rule you read protects you better than one you scroll past.
1. It has opinions, not answers
The app will tell you what a piece is probably from and why. That is an
opinion formed from one photograph and the readings you took. It can be wrong,
and it says so on screen every time. Nothing it says is an identification.
2. It never tells you what your piece is worth
Where a number appears it is a range, for your consideration, drawn from what
other pieces like it have sold for and what they are asking now, out of
professional dealers’ own records. That is a comparison, not an appraisal,
and not a prediction about your piece.
3. A mark is not a test
Sterling is not sterling until it has been tested, and the same is true of
gold, stones and age. Where it matters, test it before you pay and before you
promise.
4. You publish it, and you are responsible for it
The app writes a draft. You read it, correct anything you know to be wrong,
and post it under your own name on your own marketplace account. Everything
that follows — the description, the condition, returns, fees and your
account standing — is yours.
5. Reads, plans and canceling
Each photograph read is one read. What your plan includes resets monthly and
does not carry over. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel
any time in your Apple account settings; canceling stops the next renewal and
leaves the current period running. Refunds are handled by Apple.
6. The rest
Use of the app is also governed by Apple’s
standard
license terms. The app is provided as it is, without warranty. Nothing here
is legal, financial or appraisal advice.
